Day 101 to 104...Home sweet home.

We got home about 5:00 pm on Monday.    So very happy to be here.   We both and Molly were pretty tired of riding.

We had no problems at all on the trip.   Molly was so good.   Just sat on her box in the back seat.   Looked around, slept, came to us and laid on the arm rest,  took a drink and went back to her bed.

We visited our nephew Shannon and Kim.   They live north of Phoenix.    What a cute home they have.   They did a lot of work on the inside and now doing things outside.   New roof, fascia, patio.  Cleaning & trimming trees, etc.

Stayed the first night out in Gallop NM.   We always stay at Motel 6 as dogs are always welcome with no extra charge.
Second night we stayed in Shamrock TX.   We really had a nice room.  New carpet and bedding.
Motel 6 doesn't have any extras...no pictures on the walls, no shampoos or hair dryers.  But they do have free coffee.
Shamrock is famous for having the tallest water tower...  And our favorite radio announcer (Bill Mack) came from there.  Truckers radio station.
The last night was in Kansas City MO.

We had hoped to spend time with Terri and Bob but their work schedule just didn't work with ours.
We had lunch just blocks from their home but still so far away.   Shucks

Got to the house and Trey had the house looking so nice.   Jennifer helped clean.   Trey was still painting up stairs so we didn't get to see him or the new bathroom for a little while.

We had supper at the Pit Stop then home again and Trey gave us a tour of the new upstairs.
Bathroom not quit done yet but sure will be nice.   What a change to have a nice clean painted walls all rooms upstairs.   Carpeting and some new windows next.

Ahhhhh  a nice sleep in our own bed.

Today we got groceries.   First had lunch at my favorite Chinese restaurant.    Tomorrow I better start cooking again.

Tom stopped in to see us and then Russ came over.  This evening Trey came with his kids.  Love it when they all come over.   I sure missed them all.

Trey, the kids, & Mel and I went to Grand Meadow for supper.

That's about all.   Thank you for spending the winter with me.   Have a great summer.  Come on over for real.

Until we go again in the fall....   Hugs and God Bless.

It wouldn't let me correct the spelling under a picture..."Shannon's new Patio"

Day 100...Last night at Wagon West

hi there,

This will be the last night here.   All packed up ready to go in the morning.   Still have a couple of things to do in the morning.   Unhook the water and electric.  Cover the potty so it doesn't evaporate and dry out the seals.  Pull shades down.  Wash a couple of cups.  Say good bye to our great neighbors.   (They will be back in the same space next year.)

Two of our MN friends are home today.   Cliff and Verona took a trip up the coast but will be home tomorrow.  Wilsons won't be home for a while.   Still in CA.

Molly is so confused.  Can't figure out what is happening.   She got a quick bath tonight.  The dust here just won't keep a white dog white.

We had supper at the Buckaroo's sandwich shop.  I had a French Dip and fries,  Mel had a steak sandwich and coleslaw.

I went to bingo this evening.   Didn't win of course.

That's about it.     I might not write much while traveling.   I will only be using my phone or tablet so depends on signal.

Good night hugs
God Bless

Our pretty Palo Verdi trees across the street from us.
So yellow this year.

Day 99...Flowers gone

Hello,

Got more packed and in the car.   Most of the little deck stuff taken in.   Move chairs in tomorrow.
Mel emptied and cleaned the little frig we have on the deck.

I delivered my flowers to two different places.  No more watering...

The garbage bins in the park were so full.  Couldn't get another thing in any of them.   The truck finally came this afternoon.   Many were holding back their garbage so as soon as the truck left everyone brought their stuff and the bin is half full already.

I went with Dianna to Quartzsite Hardys jewelry and bead shop this morning.  She had made such beautiful stone necklaces and needed chains for them.   I ONLY bought a couple beads..;-)

Tonight Bob & Dianna (neighbors) went with us to Ehrenburg to have BBQ ribs.   They were soooo good.  Dianna needs a knee replacement and she has been so sore.    Surgery for her when they get home to Oregon.

2 more nights and we are gone...

Good night hugs
God Bless.
