Day 6 & 7 Ford Stockton, TX
My cousin, Yvonne and her husband, Jim.
Mel and Molly, near Fort Lancaster TX.
Hi there,
Sorry I didn't blog last night but I had no signal. I even had computer withdrawals !!
We used the phone when we left my cousins and then it was gone until late this afternoon.
No phone and no computer! Are we spoiled or what? Still can't get into my email. Hope it works later.
We had such a great visit with my cousin. It has been around 20 years since we last met.
So much to talk about. So many family changes. Their home was so pretty. Nestled in a side street of Early TX. Home made brownies for lunch and Chili for supper. We also got to meet her daughter and grandchildren.
We then got the news that Mels dad (94 years old) had fallen and is in the hospital with a broken hip. The day before my sister in Law, Nancy, from Park Rapids had unexpected surgery. What news when we are so far away.
We seen a lot of beautiful scenery today but it still isn't very warm. Yes, I know it is warmer than home ... but still cold for here. 40 degrees and misty rain and fog all day. Molly seemed to always find the sand burrs. Lots of cactus, yukka, and I think they were aloe plants.
We washed our pickup and camper finally. It was so white from the snowy roads. Also seen, would you believe, a drive threw beer store. Hmmmmm wouldn't that be illegal??? should be!
Tomorrow will be in New Mexico. Hope you will come along.
good night
