Day 30...Very windy.

These are in a little town called Bouse. We pass threw there on the way to Parker. The mountain looks like it is smoking.

................................................................

Hello everyone.

I hope all is safe and warm. I hear there is another snow storm in our home area. It is cooling down here too. Coat weather. And very, very windy today. It even tipped over our heavy deck chair. It might even freeze Wed. & Thursday night.

Molly came in limping tonight. I was out with her and she just jumped and came in on 3 legs. She wouldn't let me touch her foot so Mel held her while I looked and found a pine needle between her toes. She is ok now but she sure yipped.

We finally found our paneling. Went to Parker and they had a few selections. We decided on tong and groove planks for the ceiling. This means I have to put a finish on them before they are hung. Not sure when it will arrive tomorrow so I suppose at least the insulation will start on Wed. The finish on the planks will take 2 days to set.

My home town friends will be here tomorrow afternoon. I hope they won't mind the mess we will have.

I think I will have some ice cream. Want some?

Good night hugs, God Bless

Day 29...Almost out of gas...

I took Molly to the doggie park so she could practice for the dog show that will be later in Feb. She is getting pretty good at it. She has to protect her grand championship from last year. She still has to practice "dunking for hot dogs". Not sure if she will go in water to get a hot dog and we don't have any hot dogs to find out.

After a lunch of hamburger gravy we went to the music jam in our park. Then on for a ride.

There was a gift shop near Salome we wanted to see but found it closed. As well as the gas station that we planned to go too. The gift shop will be a trip for another day. I have my mind set on getting something there. :-) It is only about 20 miles away.

Mel took a different road home. We were hoping to see some sights or some wild life. But only seen desert and some cactus. He thought it would go straight to the Interstate. We only had 80 miles left in the gas tank. It ended up being a 40 mile road and when we finally hit the interstate it was still 35 miles to a gas station. Talk about close!! Mel went slow to conserve and we made it just fine. We put in 15.3 gallons into a 16 gallon tank. That was almost an uffda!!!!! Another 20 miles to home.

Didn't hear much about our friend Art. Sharon made it back to his side. He had tests done today. That about all I know for now.

We will have more company next week. Friends from home and friends from Wyoming will be in the area. Sounds like a fun time, right? Oh and the walls will be going up in the guest bedroom too.

I see that more snow and nasty weather is coming to our home area. Everyone stay safe.

It is cooler here too. high 50's to low 60's for a few days.

Hugs to all. God Bless !

Day 28...Prayers

Prayers needed for our friend Art O. who was taken by helicopter to Los Vegas hospital today. And also for his wife, Sharon, who just went back to MN for some family time. She will fly back now to be with him.

My friend Betty & I went to a craft show today. I finally found the copper ear rings I have been wanting.

This afternoon we went to another music jam. When I think we heard the best one yet the next one is better. Such talent !!

I got lazy for supper so we went out for prime rib. The food was delicious but somehow I lost my new earring. Makes me so mad!! Maybe it will be found tomorrow.

I forgot to turn the water heater on when we got home. I got in the shower and had to hurry up as the water went cold real fast.

Good night & God Bless

Day 27...We got the new pottie

Howdy,

Another beautiful day. 71 degrees...no wind... just sunshine.

I washed a couple loads of cloths this morning. Mel washed the car. Then the
'fix it' man came to put in the potty. What a nice change. It was hooked up direct to the sewer and not the holding tank. Now we won't have to empty it everyday.

Mel helped a neighbor move his new love seat into his 5th wheel. I had to go and see it and visit a while.

After our fried chicken supper we went the club house to hear a cowboy singer, Robin Arnold. He is a cousin to Eddy Arnold. It was a pretty good show.

I am ready for bed already. I am going to a craft show tomorrow. So good night and God Bless.

P.S...... Happy Anniversary to Dixie and Lorenz

........... Happy Birthday Pastor Karen.

Day 26...Still no paneling

Our hidden object...

.......................................................

Hi everyone,

I think it was a day of nothing... This morning my computer wouldn't stay on line. Then we discovered that our new heater had a gas leak. Something broke where the gas line goes in. Checked on a new part but won't have one until next Wed. So back to the furnace . Then we went to the lumber yard in Blythe to check out their paneling. They only had one kind. And that was not what I would put on the wall. So now what? Maybe we will have to go back to Phoenix and look in Home Depot. The clerk in Blythe said that paneling just isn't used much here. I wonder why?

So to comfort our frustration we went out to eat at Sizzlers. They have a huge salad bar. All so good.

Then it was grocery shopping. Frig is full again for another couple of weeks.

Tomorrow the guy is finally coming to put in our new potty. It has been sitting on the deck for 2 weeks. I have a big basket sitting in front of it & hope that not to many noticed it. ha! It better work!!!

Good night and God Bless

Day 25.... Trip to Buckeye

I didn't take any pictures today so sending one of my cowboy!! :-)

..................................................................................................

We went to Buckeye today to look at paneling for the new bedroom but I wasn't impressed with what Lowes had. What we seen for the walls wasn't bad but sure confused as to what I want on the ceiling. It is a 10 x 16 room and I don't think I want all those seams. We will go to Blythe tomorrow and see what they got. Russ. & Trey... HELP!!!

I did buy 2 small petunia pots and a small red bogenvia.

I had a turkey leg in the crock pot for supper but remembered we signed up for the supper at the club house. So we will have turkey leg tomorrow. They had Indian tacos. I never had one before. I love tacos so thought these would be good. I was wrong. The crust was tough and the toppings and salsa was blaaa...

There was a Blue Grass show tonight that I kind of wanted to go to but we decided not.

It was a beautiful day. Must have been about 75 degrees. It is always warmer when we have to go someplace. I wish it would be that warm when we stay home. I can't get a tan sitting in the car. ;-) There hasn't been any rain here for the last month so the desert is really brown and dry.

I hope you all have a great Thursday. Hello to all my Bible Study friends. Good night and God Bless.

Day 24....Company comin

Most of the band at the Gospel Jam tonight. My camera missed a few on the left side. ... At the Mexican Restaurant, Dos Amigos. Lots of things to look at or to buy... I am standing by a big cart...for sale for lots of $$.... Jack and Gail Rucker from MN visited for the afternoon. They are staying at a park in Casa Grande.

Hello dear friends, Thanks for coming along.

It was good to see our Minnesota friends. They spent a couple of days in Quartzsite before stopping in here. We haven't been to Quartzsite yet. Hopefully soon.

We were going to take them out to the Mexican restaurant but they had to leave. By then I was hungry for that food so we went anyway. I had their taco special. Mel had a Fieta dinner.

We went to the Gospel Jam at Desert Gold park for the evening. I took another video that I was hoping would load on here but it wouldn't. If anyone can tell me what I need to do to make that work, let me know. It works on my computer but I can't pass it on.

Tomorrow we are going to Buckeye... near Phoenix, to look at paneling.

Good night, God Bless

Day 23...Finally, pictures to Blythe

See the ATV tracks going up the hill? We have to go threw this both as we cross into CA. They check to be sure you aren't bringing anything in that they don't want. They see sweet Molly and always just pass us threw. :-)

.............................................................................................................................

Hi there. I finally got pictures in. Looks like it warmed up a bit around home. But it was cool here.

It was laundry this morning. I feel so lucky to have my washer and dryer. Probably the only one in the park as they won't allow more washers so the sewers don't overload.

After lunch we went for a ride to Vicksburg. A town with nothing in it except some vendors selling junk. But we were stopped by friends from another park just as we were leaving our park. So we went back home and visited a while then decided that we would all go to Vicksburg. But when we got there only one place was open. He said it was to windy to have their stuff on display.

After a short visit on the deck they went home and we made supper. We decided just to have a quiet evening at home.

The bathroom repair guy still hasn't been here. He called just to say that he hoped he could come sometime this week. So we will just have to wait. We are expecting company and you can bet that's when he will come.

Good night & God Bless

Day 23.... Pictures

These pictures are the start to the trip to Blythe CA. I can only put on one picture at a time and now it won't even let me do that. hmmmm????? The last is the first road runner we seen.

Day 22.... Busy day

I thought I was going to put pictures of the trip to Blythe CA but it won't let me. I will try again tomorrow when I am not so tired.

This morning we went to the club house breakfast and then on to church. We had a guest singer there. A cousin to Eddy Arnold. ( I hope you know who he is)

Home for lunch then to the music jam at our park. Mr Arnold joined the band and also sang for us too. Because of the football game there wasn't as many there as usual.

I tried to stop the Packers from winning by putting a comment yesterday on here that they lost. Didn't work, did it? Sorry Bob that the Jets lost too.

Went out for supper and then back to another music jam. I think we are done with jams for a day or two. I sure enjoy them but been enough for a while.

Way past bedtime so until tomorrow... Good night & God Bless.

Day 22... Busy day

I must be doing something wrong. This posted and I didn't want it too........ sorry.

Day 21...Awesome Jam...

A mountain on the way to Blythe. I will print more tomorrow. The pickup camper is our friend Kurt's. Some of my new flowers. I haven't potted them yet. The awesome Music Jammers we seen this afternoon. I videoed one of the singers but it wouldn't load on here. (anyone know why?) I wish I had a video camera. I just used my little one. It won't send by email either. hmmmm!

We had a lazy morning. The sun was shining and temps climbing. We had a light lunch and then went to Desert Gold, another park about 4 miles from here, for the music jam. It was the best we have heard so far. Even had a steel guitar and a drum in the mix. Must have been 20 or so singers and everyone was sooooo good. Oh, how I wish I could sing!!!

Our friends from Idaho, Betty and Roger, came over for wine on the deck.

We went to the Mexican restaurant for supper. If I could spell it I would tell you what we had. ha!! Sure was good.

Sorry Packer fans... (he he )

It was 72 degrees today. I will leave you with wishful thinking. Stay warm. Stay safe. Good night & God Bless.

Day 20.... Just a day

Hello,
For some reason I can't get a picture to go. I will try again tomorrow.

Pretty quiet day today. It was a little chilly . A couple from the park stopped over for a visit on the deck. He is a truck driver also. They are from MO. Their little doggie and Molly had such a good time playing together.

We took Molly to the doggie park this morning. She is getting pretty good at going threw the jumps and tunnels. Maybe she can win some ribbons again next month.

We had left over roast beef for supper. Mel went up to watch the pool tournaments.

That's about it. Take care everyone. God Bless

Day 19,,, Got flowers ;-)

Mel by his chili pot... Another beautiful sunset....My new orchids.

....................................................................................................................

Hi there,.........It has been a long day. The weather was cooler and windy. Mel is still not feeling up to par. I hope tomorrow is better.

After Mel took a nap we went to Blythe, CA. Mel bought some tools needed to put our walls up in the extra bedroom. We looked at recliners but he didn't like any of them. Went to a flower garden center and got 2 petunia baskets and some pansies. They didn't have much in yet. He said to come back in a couple of weeks. Then we got some groceries and home. We were going to stop at Wendy's for supper but instead we bought an 8 piece chicken and a salad at the grocery store and headed for home.

On the way home we remembered the music jam so hurried with our supper and went back to the Jam. So good as always. If only I could sing like some of them.

I know it is really really cold at home. I hope everyone and everything is safe there.

Good night and God Bless

Day 18...company

The roads in Arizona are marked so well. Our nephew Shannon and his wife Chris. We had a Mexican supper.

Hello everyone. Thanks for coming.

We had another beautiful day. I think it was 76 degrees. I got the cactus bed...rock garden cleaned out. It was full of dead weeds. Almost like a tumble weed. Also lots of pine needles. Tomorrow is the day to shop for flowers. :-)

We had company for supper. Kurt Sylvara from Bryclyn MN. He used to drive for us way back when. I made a beef roast in the crock pot with carrots, potatoes, mushrooms... It was pretty good. He has a beautiful yellow Dodge pickup with a camper and pulls a enclosed trailer with a huge 4 wheeler...what ever it is called. He is heading for Death Valley to ride the sand dunes. I forgot to get a picture.

I will have pictures tomorrow of my plants.

Sending some warm weather with this blog . I hope you find it. Good night, God Bless

Day 18....pictures

Another beautiful Arizona sunset. Molly is wishing she could get out with us. Our own little orange tree that only has one orange. Maybe more next year.

Day 18....Pictures

We had prime rib at Black Rock.
Met friends in Green Valley and had dinner at the casino. Jackie and Don and Jerry & Phillis.

Day 17... More pictures finally.

Getting into the hills abit. Molly loves to sit in Mel's lap. A big piggy bank. This was in an old town called Nara Visa, NM It had old cars and closed up buildings that I would love to get into. More pictures tomorrow.....................

Danielle thought I better get some pictures on here so there you go. ;-) It was something to do when I didn't feel like doing anything else.

We are feeling much better but just kind of tired. We even ate a little today. It was such a nice day. (78 degrees) I wanted to clean up the garden but just couldn't get there.

Tomorrow we are having company. Kurt used to drive for us in the 1970's and has been a friend since. He is just passing threw.

Being we haven't been anyplace I don't have much to say. But as time goes on we will see some wonders, I am sure. So good night, God Bless

Still day 17...more Pictures

The trouble with posting pictures so late is that I can't remember where we were... Mel at Dennys for breakfast.. The white stacks is cotton bales.
