Day 49...Race Day!

Greetings, Been reading about the bad weather at home. Will it ever end? I hope those of you without power got it back on. Was it the ice that caused the outage? Did it hit Des Moines too? It has been cool and rainy even here .

After church this morning we went right home and the race was just starting. And what a good race it was. A 20 year old new comer won. How exciting for him. Mark Martin came in 10th. Not bad considering he was 3 laps behind at one point.

We went out for pizza with some new friends from Hill city MN. We thought there was a jam at a church in Quartzsite but we found that it was last night. oops!!! So we just went home.

Hope to start getting the new bedroom cleaned up and the carpet laid tomorrow. I hope... I hope... I hope.

There was a neat photo moment at sunset but of course I forgot to take my camera. Must have been 20 contrails in the sky all chris-crossing each other. The sky was real bright at the horizon with a touch of pink and then the white trails . Sure was pretty.
