Day 58...Windy day

Greetings my friends and family,

I have lots of pictures to post but my email isn't working for some reason.  I sent the pictures I too to my self.   Now can't see them.  I guess they will have to wait until tomorrow.  Second thought .... we are having company over the weekend so I might not be blogging until Sunday or Monday.   Maybe!!

I so wanted to stay home today but it didn't happen.    I can't remember what we did this morning..  (I'm old~)  Couldn't have been much.    After lunch we went to Quartzsite to get some can goods.
We were thinking that vender would be closing this week but he won't be closing until the end of March.   We get mostly cans of soup there.  Most are only 50 cents and some are a dollar.
Mel likes soup.   Should have enough now to last until we leave.

I had to exchange a bead container as it didn't have dividers in the middle container.   Before I went in the shop Mel said..."just go in and out.   No more beads"   I wonder why he would think I would do that.  ;-/

We got our soup and went home.

Later we went to the Brenda Gospel jam.   It sure was good tonight.   One of their best, we thought.

I hope the temps warm up some for all of you.    We keep having around 80* days but today was a bit windy.   Gusty winds.   Possible rain this weekend.   Good for us but not good for the Nascar race in Phoenix.

Take care and God Bless

Hey...  I can get to pictures.

These 3 jammed after the jam.    Singing Walking On The Water

What is left of my French Dip sandwich.   Must have been
a half lb beef in it.  Soooo good

  Molly meets a Wild Boar

We have snowmen in Brenda too.

Day 57...beautiful day

This is in one of the Quartzsite stores

Our truck... Mel can't go to work yet !
This was on Face Book too so many of you probably seen it already.

--------------------------------------------------------------

 Hello my friends,

Hope you made it threw another night of bad weather.   It sure has to stop one of these days.

I mostly cleaned house this morning...laundry, scrubbed floor, watered plants, etc.
Made a cabbage dish for lunch.   Sorted some beads this afternoon.

We met our nephew, Shannon and his lady for supper at Silly Al's pizza in Quartzsite.   Sure was good to see them.   We had a good visit.   Of course I forgot to take a picture.
I wish we could see family more often.

We are getting more company on Friday so we got some groceries after we left.   I hope I got
enough for the meals I have planned.

It is so nice out tonight.    Just sat on the deck for a while.   Starting to cool off now.

Rain is in the forecast for the weekend.   I hope the race don't get rained out again.  But we sure do need rain.   There hasn't been any since we got here.

Stay safe and stay warm everyone.

COME ON OVER........

Hugs & God Bless

Day 56...Power loss

                                                   We visited by candle light
                                            --------------------------------------------

Right now the lights went out again but the TV still works.   How can that be?
The power went out about 4:30 and didn't come back until about 8;30.  We never did here the cause.
The Wilson's , Preges, and us planned to go to have Taco's but because of the power gone they didn't have any so we headed for Quartzsite.    On the way we seen that Black Rock had lights via a generator so we stopped and ate there.
We hoped power was working again by the time the Jam started but it was canceled.  So we all came back out our place and visited on the deck by candle light.   Kind of neat!!

Now the TV went out too.   Shoot...I was watching a good show too.

The women of Wagon West had lunch at Black Rock at noon.   It was a fun time.

I spend a while this afternoon paying bills.    Didn't do much else.

I am going to say good night and God Bless.     I hope the power comes on soon

Day 55... Did I just buy more beads?

Another beautiful sunset.  Taken from our deck.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello...

I slept in this morning.   Got up at 9.   Before I was even dressed a friend stopped by to see
if I wanted to go to Quartzsite with her.  Sure I will.    I got dressed in about 15 min and carted my
way to her house.  She had several places to stop but the best was at Gem World.
Judy is the one that taught me how to make a necklace and earrings so it was fun to be there with her
and getting more "how too's"  as we walked around.   I got beads needed to make watches.  Now I just have to find watch faces.

This after noon we went to a memorial service.   A guy from our park passed away a while ago
and the wife wanted to do this.    She served cheeseburgers and chips and cupcakes.   It was nice.

It was quit warm again today.   About 80 or 82.    Nice eh?

I finished my necklace tonight only to find a big mistake.   Now will have to go to the
teacher to see what I have to do.  Shucks...

Dixie and Loranz should be home by now.   Their car was stuck in the area they left it and she said the roads were really bad.   I wish they could have stayed here a while longer.   We sure enjoyed
their company.

Bed time again...   Good night and God Bless

Day 54...Race day

Congrats to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on the big Daytona 500 win!

The winner of Daytona race...  Dale Earnhardt Jr.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Good evening,

It has been a long day.   The Daytona pre race started at 10 this morning.   The race at 11.
So we didn't go to church or the music jam at our park.
But the race just got a good start and it rained.   And rained,   and rained.   They kept saying clear skies were coming so we hung in there.   We had lunch and a bunch of other snacks but no race.

I worked on my beading.   I thought I was out of the colored beads but I did find some.     Still no race...
Mel read one of his magazines,  watched a TV show about building the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington.    Still no race.    We had supper,   Still no race.    Finally near 7:00 it started.

It was a good race.   I sure missed Mark Martin.  He was my favorite for so many years and he retired last year.   I still don't have any one favorite.   It is hard to want 5 of them to win.

I been happily thinking of our friends,  Dixie and Lorenz visiting.   We had such a good time.   They are flying back home to the snow tomorrow.   Now we heard from other friends who will come to spend the weekend with us.  I don't know them well so I hope I can keep them entertained. (Mel knows them)

There is lots of things planned this week.   Just hope I can remember to get pictures.

Good night and God Bless.    Hugs too.

Day 53...Ribs

Down town Phoenix

Dixie enjoying the buffet salad bar

                                                          Desert flowers along the road

                                            Salad anyone??
                              ---------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there,
I just finished watching Free Willie.  I never get sick of that show !

It was kind of a quiet day today.   I missed my friends.   I hope the weather is better at home when You return Dixie and Loranz.   They will go home on Monday.

We did some house cleaning and laundry.    I made some salsa.   I wasn't sure what I was doing but it turned out ok.

Mel made BBQ ribs on the grill for supper.  Turned out so good.   We ate on the deck.   Weather was perfect today.   I think it was about 76 and no wind.   Nice eating outside without mosquitoes.

The club house was busy tonight with a show called "Minute to win It".   Fun to watch the contestants do the tricks within a minute.    Then we enjoyed apple pie and ice cream.

The big Nascar Daytona race tomorrow so you know where I will be...........  yaaaaaaa
Just not sure who to root for.

Good night and God Bless

Day 52...Great company

My computer isn't working well tonight so will just have to say ...  "Hi all"   and make this short.   I just don't know when it will shut down again.  It won't let me get to the pictures I took today so I hope I can put them on tomorrow.

Molly got her hair cut today.   She is so pretty again.  We can see her eyes and she is so soft and white.    Pictures tomorrow...if I can get her to sit still.

Yesterday we went to Tempe (near Phoenix) and spent the day with Dixie and Lorenx at their daughters condo.   She had a nice lunch ready for us when we arrived.   We just talked and laughed and laughed and talked some more.    Sat our by the pool for a while.   Oh I knew I should have brought my swim suit along!!!   Mel found a Golden Corel restaurant.   We ate, we talked, we ate... and we even talked.   :-)  We took them back to the beautiful condo and we headed home.

Today the Jecks came here.   They got here about noon.   We went to Brenda and had a sandwich then on to Quartzsite.   Looked around a bit and then headed for Blythe.    You just have to see what
Dixie got.   Ooooh.   it is so pretty!!

We mostly drove around showing them the country side.   Where we stayed one year by the Colorado
river was one place we seen.   We went to a fresh produce place out in the country and filled a couple bags with goodies...   Oranges,  dates, salsa makings,  Jam,  snack chips.

In town we went to the flower shop.   Such pretty plants.  I could have bought some but held back.  I was a good girl and only bought a 50 cent one.   There was a sign for "Winter Garden Center Hours"
I don't think Minnesota could use that sign..haha

Supper time again so we went to the Sizzler buffet in Blythe.   We again ate and ate and ate and talked too.  Headed back home from there and they headed for Tempe.

I hope your all ok with all the snow and cold temps.   I don't hear much so been kind of worried about you all.   Stay safe.

Good night and God Bless

Day 50...Speghetti supper

.I didn't get a picture today but this is the part of the desert that
Mel takes Molly for a walk.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Didn't so much today.  Finishing 4 loads of laundry is the biggest job I had.

We went to Zippies to get gas and planned on stopping for a burrito.   When we got there it was closed because the cook was sick.

I finished up some paperwork for our tax accountant.    I keep thinking I am forgetting something.
I sure hope not.

Tonight was the big spaghetti supper at the club house.   Can't say I liked the recipe.  They also had fresh sour dough bread.   I don't care for that kind of bread either.  I know...I am just too fussy.
 The salad was good.

Tomorrow we are going to Phoenix to see Dixie and Lorenz.     Depends on how late we get home so I just might not write tomorrow night.

I forgot to say happy Birthday to Jennifer.   It was yesterday.    I hope you had a wonderful day Jen.

Wow...   another snow storm at home.   I just can't believe all the bad weather we are missing.
Just stay safe everyone.

Good night and God Bless

Day 49... Big surprise

I spent the morning at the craft room learning how to make a beaded watch band.
I plan to make more when I get home.
        ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I still can't believe what happened today.   A big big wonderful surprise.

After I got home from the bead shop we had some lunch.   Mel had washed dishes so I put
them away.  Watered my flowers and just putzed around.    Dixie and I had been texting back and forth most of the morning.   This was nice as we hadn't done much other than & occasional email. I finally got to my computer to read my emails.  I just turned the computer on when Mel called to me that we have company.   I looked out the window but didn't recognize the car and then a familiar
face came around the car.....OH MY GOODNESS !!
It was my hometown friends   Dixie and Lorenz.

We had a wonderful greeting.    Showed them our house.   Mel to Loranz around the park and tool shop.   Dixie and I just talked and talked.....
We then went for a ride to Quartzsite.    Showed them a lot of the interesting places there including the book store.  ;-)     (Remember Sue?)

We had supper at Silly Al's Pizza shop  and then headed for the Desert Gold Gospel Jam.
It was a great Jam and we had lots of friends with us.   The Wilsons, Prigges, & the Jecks all with us.

Home again and had to say Bye for now to Dixie and Lorenz.   They are staying near Phoenix.

I still can't believe they were here.   They hadn't told anyone they were coming here so nobody would tell us.  I guess 2 people knew - our Pastor and our son.........and they didn't tell us.

Good night everyone...   I wish more of you would surprise us.    God Bless.

Day 48... Visit friends

Neat stage at the Clubhouse in Hope.
Other band members packing up but
Tex keeps on playing.

I wish Russ would make me one on these but
much smaller.
Some of the crowd that came to the Jam.
                                              -----------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone,     Another "hot" day.

I did some work with our up coming Brad Boice (Elvis ETA) concert at our church in Dexter.  This will be April 27th.    I wish I had Office Word so I could  do more.   Office was gone when my computer had to be fixed.   I have the disc at home so will have to do without until we  get home in April.

After lunch we went to visit our Idaho friends,  Betty and Roger.   They move out of our park this year and now lives about 10 miles away.  They own their lot and have a park model home.

Tonight we decided to go to a different music jam.   Hope is about 20 miles from here.   They sell grilled burgers before the jam started.    it was fun.

Tomorrow I am going to learn how to make beaded watch band.

Good night and God Bless...

Day 47...Typical Sunday

Woops...   I forgot to take a picture today.    I have been using my cell phone to take pictures as then I can send them right to my computer.   I have been taking pictures with my camera too but I haven't figured out a good place on the computer to put them.   Can anyone advise a good site to put pictures on so I can crop them etc.?

We had breakfast at the club house.   Pancakes,  scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, orange juice and peach sauce.  Good eaten but Gee,  just to early.  Have to be there by 8:30.  Home again shortly after 9  then got ready for church.

There was a full house at church today.   Chairs lined up almost to the back of the room.  It was a good service about Love.

Home for lunch.   Mel had a big bowl of his chili and I had a crab & lettuce salad.    I did dishes and
watched NASCAR qualifying.    #3 is back and got pole.   Austin Dillon is looking like he will be a great driver.

The music jam at our park was good.     Lots of new faces performed today.   It was a fun jam.

We got company after the jam.   Fred and his wife live in Brenda park.   They are from Princeton MN
Nice folks and a nice visit.  They are full timers in their motor home.  6 months here and 6 months in MN.

Supper time again and I just didn't feel like cooken.   We went to a little sandwich shop.   I didn't have to do dishes either.  Molly wanted to go for a ride anyway.

Back home and turned on the Olympics.

I hope the snow storm isn't to bad.    I hate to tell you but it was 85 here again.

Good night and God Bless...

Day 46...Daytona week.

Mels new hat.   I think it is funny!!  Made out of
bamboo.

Mel and others taste testing the chili.

                                    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,  There were a lot of people at the chili cookoff.   They emptied most of the pots of soup.
Mel didn't win though.   The winner was the wife of the winner the last 3 years.   They do have good
chili but also lots of friends to vote for them.   hmmmm.........  Oh well,  Mel had fun doing it.

Nascar races all week in Daytona.   I am going to miss Mark Martin.   He retired now.   I will have to pick someone new.   I do like Stewart and Harvick but just not the same.  They are traveling 200 mph tonight.

It was really hot today.   87 degrees.     We did turn the AC on for a while but still liked being outside.   I hear the roads are bad at home again.    Stay safe everyone.

Good night and God Bless

Day 45...Valentines Day

Red White & Blue planter

                                                  My Valentine flower

                    ----------------------------------------------------------

I hope everyone had a wonderful day.

It was really hot here today.  at least 85.    But we refrained from using the AC.   Just enjoyed it.

Mel made his chili today.   The contest is tomorrow.   It tastes pretty good.

We went out for supper for fish.   Always so good.   Home again and got ready for the dance.

The dance was fun.  We had live music.   I think the band was from Canada.  Good one.
The snacks filled up the whole counter.   I forgot my camera so didn't get a picture.   I made a cherry bar.   I think I over baked it but it was good.  The pan was empty so others must have liked it too.

I am falling asleep in my chair so I better get to bed.

Good night & God Bless

Day 44...Baken, Beaden, & Jammin

Mel and Molly looking for "critters" at a rest area.   (Didn't see any)

                                         -----------------------------------------------------

Hello...
I see it warmed up a bit there.   But roads aren't good.     Looking at the US weather map I think we are the only area with nice weather.   82 here today.  Sure glad Mel isn't trucking.

I made a cherry bar for the dance tomorrow night.   I haven't used my oven much so not sure if it works like it should.    Bars seemed to take longer than it should but the bottom got plenty dark.  Not burnt though,  thank goodness.

Mel will make his chili tomorrow.   Chili cook off is on Sat afternoon.  Everyone wish him luck...
It always tastes better the second day.    I would have rather make my bars tomorrow but he claimed the kitchen.

I am so happy to get my Frontier email working again.   After I got my computer back a couple of weeks ago I didn't have the email.   I found the site but it wouldn't except my password.  Today I gave in and called the teck again.   He said he had ---?--- for a password.    Just what I have been trying to use.   So I tried again while talking to him and it worked.  Go figure!

I worked on my necklace for a  while.   I can't seem to stick to it very long.

We went to the B R café for a BBQ rib supper but I think it will be the last time we go there.
Just never happy with their food.   watery potatoes,  grizzly ribs, no flavor soup...  Oh well,   there are plenty of other places to go.  They sure were busy though.

Nice Jam at Brenda.   So many are sick lately.   One band member came back but about 6 were missing.   A few people in our park have been sick too.   I so hope we don't catch it.

HAPPY VELENTINES DAY to everyone.
Dance tomorrow night so I might not blog.   Depends on what time we get home.

Hugs & God Bless

Day 43...bonfire

Our bonfire and round Robin sing along.
Started at sunset

                                           Our new friends from Wisconsin

          -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi my friends,

We kind of putzed around home most of the day.   Mel cleaned out the trunk.  I planted a cactus.
We went to a park meeting after lunch.  Can't say much was accomplished in that hour but anyway.
We canceled our corn beef and cabbage supper and agreed on a band for New Years.

I worked a while on the necklace I am making.   I worked on the deck table.   I will be working out there more often.   Really good light for the tiny beads I am using.

Tonight was soup night.   They had split pea soup at the clubhouse.  It was pretty good.  -   kinda... !

Later we met at the fire pit for a Round Robin sing along.   Robin Arnold lead  and we had many
bring their guitars and sang.  Many was a sing along but then I usually sing along anyway.  Quietly ~

Sure nice to have the golf cart to get around with.

It was only 78 degrees today.

Jam night tomorrow at Brenda...   See ya there.

Hugs & Gods Blessings

Day 42...groceries AGAIN

Going to CA they check to be sure you aren't bring in any fruits, veggies
plants.  They don't want any "bugs" brought in.

close up

Coming back from Yuma you have to drive threw this
check point.   They are the border patrol.

                          -------------------------------------------------------------------

I got a haircut today and I really like it.   Not much perm left so I hope I can make it work.

We shopped a couple places in Quartzsite then  On to Blythe to get groceries. First we had lunch at Poppie's chicken place.   I hope we can go a couple weeks with this batch of groceries.

I got everything put away,  fed Molly and got ready to go out for Taco's.   Golly...  we buy a trunk full of food then got out to eat.  Kind of funny!   I will cook tomorrow..

It was Gospel Jam night at Desert Gold.   Good music tonight.     We spent the evening with Wilsons.

I didn't pay attention to the temp today.   Just know it was nice and warm.     Yes,  I know,  it was 20 below at home.  It has to get better there soon.

No plans for tomorrow..  not yet anyway.

Good night and God Bless.

Day 41... 80 degrees :-)

The people we bought the golf cart from had this huge orchid.  It sat
on the floor and was taller than the chair.   so pretty!

I miss my grandkids....  (my big kids too )  my greatgrans too.

                       ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a day !   I went to bed last night at 9:00 and slept until 9 this morning.   Wow.

It has been such a beautiful day.   Bright sunshine,  clear blue sky and 80 degrees.   It got a bit windy for a while but not bad.   The temps will be a bit warmer as the week goes by

We didn't do much other than sit around on the deck.   We did go for a golf cart ride.   We got a package of mail so went threw all that.   (thanks Jen)

Mel made breakfast as usual.   I made lunch and supper.     Just so busy !!

We showed our neighbors house to someone interested in buying.   That took all of 20 min.

Molly is on the deck edge looking for little lizards......ha!

I am getting a hair cut tomorrow.   Can't wait.

Back to watching Olympics.

Take care,  Stay warm,  God Bless

Day 40...Bouse & Jam

Because I didn't take any pictures today I just put on another picture from Lake Havasue.    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone,

We started the day with a biscuit and gravy, eggs, peaches, & coffee breakfast at the clubhouse.
After spilling my coffee on myself and Verona I had to change my cloths before we went on with the day.

We headed for Bouse (funny name, eh?) to go to the Black Powder Rondazveu (how ever you spell it)  BUT...The place was empty.   I guess it wasn't happening all weekend as advertised just on Sat.  So we went to a restaurant in Bouse for lunch but the cook said we were to early and he wasn't ready yet.     Oh well...  We came back to Brenda and had a sandwich there.

This afternoon we had our parks music jam.   There were a lot of musicians today and awesome singers.   We really enjoyed it.

For supper I just reheated some left overs.   Now we have room in the frig again.

The weather was so great today...  80 degrees.    I told you that you should come here to warm up.
It is suppose to be warm all week.

Watched a bit of Olympics.   I think I will get ready for an early bed.

Love and hugs,    God Bless

Day 39...Crafts and racin

vintage sprints
some of the crafts

Me and our new friends !

 Mel...

Sorry the craft pictures are sideways.
                    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had a fun day.   We spent the morning at the craft show at our clubhouse.   We looked around but didn't buy anything.   Lots of jewelry.   I got some new ideas.   Mel bought some tickets for a drawing but didn't win there either.    We drank coffee, ate cinnamon rolls and visited.   close  to noon they served big fat juicy cheeseburgers.

Came home and talked to Tom on the phone and then got ready to go to Blythe CA.   The gates to the race open at 1:00.

Just before we entered the parking lot to the race track we remembered the time difference.   Opps.   It was only noon there.   2 hours to wait.   AG and Audrey came so our visiting made the time go by in a hurry.

It was a fun race.   The drivers age ranged from 10 to 75.  Just imagine your 10 year old son or 12 year old daughter speeding around a quarter mile track at 60 mph.  In this race was the Bandoleros.
The winner was 15,  2nd place was 10, 3ed was a 12 year old girl.  Awesome !!

Others racing was Vintage Midgets & Sprints.  These were driven by the older ones - in their 70's.
The cars were maybe raced in Indy years ago.  Also racing were street stocks,  factory stocks, & Legends.    The final race was 8 cars driven by women who weren't used to racing.   It was pretty funny.  They claimed it was filmed for a future TV show.  Hmmmmm   We shall see.

After the race we went to the Sizzler for a great supper.

Home again.   My plan was to read my email and Facebook,  write my blog and get to bed but I got watching the Doubles Skate on the Olympics.     Now it is after 1 and we have to get up early in the morning.   Guess I will be tired tomorrow.

Good night and God Bless

Day 38... The Olympics begin

If only my cell phone camera had a zoom.   There are cattle with long horns in that picture !  If you click on the picture it will be bigger.  They are in the desert of course on hwy 60.   About 6 miles from us.
                -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good evening everyone,
What are your weekend plans?   I hope something fun.

We went to a Craft show & rummage sales at Black Rock then on to Hope for another craft show.
I only got a glass bread dish and a little red lizard.   But always fun looking.   Lots of jewelry for sale but being I can make the same things I didn't buy any.  Mel got some leather strings for his bolo ties he makes.

We came home for lunch and finished off the Chicken Pot Pie I made last night.

Mel fixed the carpet on the steps as the top one was put down wrong.  Looks so much better now.
The vacuum cleaner was plugged so he spent some time fixing that.

It was fish night at Dos Amigos.   Ohhhhh sooo good.   We met Cliff and Verona there.
Then home to watch the opening ceremony's of the Olympics.

Tomorrow is the craft show at our park.  They also had huge cinnamon rolls for sale.  mmmm
Races in Blythe in the afternoon.

Oh and it was ONLY 70 degrees today.   ;-)

Hugs and God's Blessings

Day 37...cool and cloudy

Mel and Molly on their walk in the desert...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gosh,   not much to say today.    It was cool and cloudy so we didn't go out much.   We didn't get any
rain though.   And it is so needed out here.  I guess it snowed on the northern part of the state.

I worked on that necklace for a while.   I thought I would just take it apart and use the beads for something else but today I decided to finish this one.

I made a chicken pot pie for supper.   Just like Terri made !!   Sure turned out good.  We have enough left for lunch tomorrow.    Thanks for the recipe Terri.

Another great Gospel jam tonight at Brenda.   There was many band members missing.   I hope they aren't sick.   The bug is sure going around out here.   We had great company though.   We sat with the Wilsons and the Priggies.

Looking like another busy weekend.

Take care, God Bless

Day 36..More time with a teck

Private Saguaro cactus garden.  Just young ones.
                     =======================================
Good evening,

How you all doing?   Keeping warm I hope.    We have been watching the temps in our home area and it is not good   I never know if I should feel sorry for you or say ha ha haha haaaaaaaaaa !!
I just pray for no problems there.    Only 65 here today.   75 forecasted for Sat and next week.

I had to scan in logs for Mel only to find my scanner still not connecting to my computer.   This is just what started it all when I lost my computer.  I couldn't believe after all I been threw with this  that it still wasn't working.   So what teck do I call???   I decided to use the Landstar teck being it was a log page I needed to send in.   Well,   after over 2 hours of doing this and that and the teck just taking over the computer it finally works.  Yaaaaa.    I told her she deserved a raise.

We went to Quartzsite for a couple of groceries.   Didn't need much.   Also found a place with dollar beads so I checked them out and got a couple.

We didn't get home in time for soup supper at the clubhouse.   Missed by 15 min.   I had some homemade soup in the freezer and made a small meatloaf.

No plans for tomorrow.   I am sure Mel will think of something.

Good night & God Bless

Day 35...Taco's & Jam

My flowers are doing ok.   I do get lots of comments.   Dixie,  did you notice the color of my new
pot?    The basket with the flag will have red petunias opening in a day or two then I have red, white, and blue like the flag.  I will get pics of the cactus garden next time.
If you want a bigger picture just click on it.

The day went fast but didn't do much.     I had to call our bank as I couldn't find their site since my
computer was redone.   They changed their name so no wonder I couldn't find them.  4 banks merged so that is why the change.

I paid a couple of bills and also tried to find my Frontier email.   I did find the login site but it won't except my password nor will it offer me a place to get a new one.  So I guess I will be calling Frontier to see what I need to do.

I started repainting a plaster lizard that has been in my garden for years.   It was all faded and chipped.  A new paint job should give it life for a couple more years.

It was taco night at Dos Amigo's.   We shared the table with our WY friends AG & Audrey.    After we went to the Jam at Desert Gold.   Verona & Cliff joined us there.    It was a good night with good friends.

Hugs and God's Blessings.

Day 34... home all day

If you look real close at the center of the picture you will see a couple long horns.   I wonder what they find to eat out there.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------

Howdy,

I don't have much to tell you about today.     Mel fixed the LP tank.  It only needed and O ring I guess.   He also replaced the water filters.   Now we have soft water again.

I did some paper work.  Almost done with tax stuff.      I made a roast beef supper.   Turned out pretty good.   I took the golf cart to the mail room and stopped at Verona's.    Then I forgot to give her something so had to go back.   But the cart had other ideas and didn't quit make it back home.
A neighbor gave me a push !!  On the charger now.  I watered my flowers too.

Molly got a bath yesterday.   She is white again.    For a couple days anyway.

Cilla send me a link to see the Super Bowl half time. (thanks)  It was ok but Prince was on TV.  I liked that better.  :-)

Going to be cool all week.   Only 60.  This might sound warm to you but cool for here.

Good night and God Bless

Day 33...Baby it's cold outside.

One of the helicopters used to keep an eye on things at the desert race yesterday.    This was at a gas station the night before.
      ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Super bowl fans....

We aren't football people but I do check in on the score or a commercial once in a while.  But I missed the half time show.   Shoot.    I hope it plays again someplace.  Sure surprised with the score.  I thought the Broncos were suppose to win.   Kit and Dixie must be happy.

We went to Koffa for supper.   Just had a sandwich.  I better start cooken more this week.

Robin Arnold and his sister Judy sang at church today.   Sooooo pretty.  Home for lunch then on to the music jam at our clubhouse.    Not many there.   Most must have stayed home to get ready for the ball game.  It still was good.

Mel has to take our LP tank in for repair tomorrow.   No other plans ,  I hope.

It has been such a busy weekend and I am so tired.   It will be a very early bedtime for me tonight.

It has been a cold day.   I think it was 55 degrees but felt like 35.   Tomorrow will be better.

Good night hugs & God's Blessings.

Day 32...Desert Races

"The Parker 425".  This is a desert race of hills and holes. Curves, bumps, & lumps.   Four laps of over a hundred miles each.   Like the Baha race in Mexico.  We sat so close to the track.   Notice the cement wall in the top picture and we were sitting right behind it.   The dust was so thick as they passed.  Something different and so fun.
      -----------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there,

Another fun day.    We picked up our friends,  Verona and Cliff at 9am and headed to Bouce AZ.
Rummage sales were first and we found several.   I got a few interesting things.   One was a big flower pot.   I just put some artificial plants in it for now but will have real ones next year.

Cliff treated to lunch.  Thanks guys...   then on to find the race.   Mel pretty much knew how to get there.   (That didn't surprise me)  The race started in Parker early this morning so we missed the start and maybe the first 2 laps.

The dust was so bad my black jacket was grey and my hair felt like straw.     Home again and a long hot shower felt really good.

Molly didn't think much of the loud noise of the race cars but she was good.

I washed a couple loads of cloths and made a quick tuna hotdish for supper then we got ready to go to the dance at the clubhouse.
The dance was a sock hop with 70's music & a Hippy theme..   Many came with head bands, wild colors, and big bell bottoms.   We don't dance much but I enjoy watching.

Club house breakfast at 8:30 tomorrow and church after so I better get to bed.

Good night hugs,  and God Bless
