Day 32...Desert Races

"The Parker 425".  This is a desert race of hills and holes. Curves, bumps, & lumps.   Four laps of over a hundred miles each.   Like the Baha race in Mexico.  We sat so close to the track.   Notice the cement wall in the top picture and we were sitting right behind it.   The dust was so thick as they passed.  Something different and so fun.

Hi there,

Another fun day.    We picked up our friends,  Verona and Cliff at 9am and headed to Bouce AZ.
Rummage sales were first and we found several.   I got a few interesting things.   One was a big flower pot.   I just put some artificial plants in it for now but will have real ones next year.

Cliff treated to lunch.  Thanks guys...   then on to find the race.   Mel pretty much knew how to get there.   (That didn't surprise me)  The race started in Parker early this morning so we missed the start and maybe the first 2 laps.

The dust was so bad my black jacket was grey and my hair felt like straw.     Home again and a long hot shower felt really good.

Molly didn't think much of the loud noise of the race cars but she was good.

I washed a couple loads of cloths and made a quick tuna hotdish for supper then we got ready to go to the dance at the clubhouse.
The dance was a sock hop with 70's music & a Hippy theme..   Many came with head bands, wild colors, and big bell bottoms.   We don't dance much but I enjoy watching.

Club house breakfast at 8:30 tomorrow and church after so I better get to bed.

Good night hugs,  and God Bless
