Day 62... Weekend happenings

Marlene & Bob Hanson with Benge
                                                             Cool Mustang behind them.
Bob and Marlene are from Adams MN.   We sure enjoyed their visit this weekend.
We visited a lot full of classic cars.   I should have taken more pictures.   So many neat cars !
The black '49 Dodge in the background.

This is a Baptism font made from cactus.   This was in the Quartzsite museum.

A huge Rosemary (the herb) bush with pretty blooms

Not sure what this is but sure was pretty.

Marlene by a huge very old dry wood.

The Hansons arrived on Friday afternoon.   We visited and got acquainted a bit as I had never
met them.   Bob and Mel were friends though.

We drove around and showed them the area.  Had a fish supper at Dos Amigos.  Home for the night.

I made breakfast Sat.  morning and then we were off again.  Went to Quartzsite and looked around but so many of the vendors are gone already.   We went to the classic car lot and walked all around there.   Lunch was at Silly Al's Pizza,    Then to the Quartzsite museum.   There was a host there this time who told the history of the town.   So interesting.   If only I could remember some of what he said.

Sunday was church at Gods Little Church in the Desert.    Lunch at the sandwich shop in Brenda.
Music jam at our club house.   Not many there this time.   Some have already headed home.

None of us were very hungry for supper so we just had some soup.   It was a bit chilly so we just visited inside.

Monday morning the Hansons treaded us to Breakfast at the Kofa restaurant and then they went on their way.  They have the cutest little Yorkie 7 months old.   Little live wire.  He wore Molly out.

My cold or allergy's  got to me by Monday afternoon so Mel sent me to bed.  :-)      Mel made supper and even did the dishes.   Nice  eh?   I feel so much better today.

Today was another quiet day.    I caught up with some emails and such.   Still have some problems with the computer but I make it work without swearing to much.   (ha)  Went out for taco's tonight and on to the Gospel Jam in Desert Gold.   We were with AG and Audrey this evening.
The jam was awesome.

Good night and God Bless...

PS.......  A friend of ours is in ICU at the Phoenix Hospital.   Roger has the Flu type A & B and viral infectious meningitis.     He needs our prayers.   His wife, Betty too.  Her daughter came to be with her so she isn't alone.  Thanks.   hugs
