Days 64 & 65...Palm Springs & Parker

Hello, We had another cool and windy day. Oh, when will it warm up. It was in the 80's and even low 90's last year at this time. I guess the weather is crazy all over.

Yesterday we went to Palm Springs, CA to visit my cousin Virgil and Darlene.
They are from Cannon Falls and winter here. They have a beautiful condo. The picture shows what is seen out their window. Awesome Bogenvia vines along the stone fence with snow capped mountains beyond. There was even a Bird of Paradise plant...blooming, in the yard. Molly really enjoyed the lush green grass as we sat in the sun on the patio. Thank you Dar for the good lunch and company. Have a safe trip home.

We have been having tire problems since we were in Long Beach so we finally got that fixed. We bought the tires in Rochester at Discount tires. What a great warranty they have. There was a nail in the tire. They fixed it, balanced it, and NO CHARGE!

We also stopped at Wal Mart and got Molly her Pup Corn. Her favorite treat. Hard to find.

Today we went to Parker...about 45 miles north of here. We had some business to take care of for our house but of course there was a missing paper so will have to go back again after we get that from the former owner. We got to visit with 4 of our friends. Sharon and Art from Adams and AG and Audrey from Wyoming met us for coffee and a nice visit. We got a few groceries and headed for home.

I spotted a beautiful lily (picture above)in the desert so had to stop and pick a couple. A little white Desert Lily. I was told that the bulb starts 5 feet down so no chance of getting one.

There was a hot dog roast at the club house and we got home just in time to enjoy that. The plan was to have a bon fire but it was to windy so grills were used.

We received a box of mail that Trey sent so I went threw all that. I watched American Idol with a glass of wine and now I think I will get ready for bed.
